Becca Mello, the creator of B. Mello Music Studio has one goal – to share the excitement and love of music with others! Her unique approach to teaching is a holistic model, that looks at each student uniquely, with their experiences in life, their unique skills and gifts, and their learning style. Becca introduces students to music they connect with and genuinely enjoy playing. She teaches and reinforces important musical concepts through fun and games. In short, she helps students learn to love music.
Becca has a Bachelors of Music Education from Penn State University, with an emphasis on elementary and instrumental education. She also received a Performer’s Certificate for Flute Performance. Becca has been teaching flute and piano since 2015, starting B. Mello Music Studio in 2016.
Emily Rosoff believes that people learn best when they are having fun and feeling confidant! Her core values as a teacher are to build fabulous musical technique, solid practice habits, and most importantly, to help her students have confidence in themselves.
Emily has a Bachelors of Vocal Performance from the Westminster Choir College and a Masters in Vocal Performance from Indiana University in Bloomington. Emily has appeared in lead roles of operas composed by Puccini, Donizetti, Handel, Mozart, and more. Her students excel in their studies of song whether it be jazz, folk, classical, or musical theater – even frequently landing lead roles in musicals at school.
While not teaching Ms. Rosoff enjoys a myriad of other things, among which include knitting, baking, drinking tea, and spending time with her cat Lilly.
Lydia Calabro loves to work with students by getting on their level, helping them grow bit by bit in skill and experience. Her goal is to help students feel proud of their work and feel excited to learn more!
Lydia has been playing the piano since she was 5 years old, and has a Master’s in Educational Psychology from the College of Saint Rose. In Lydia’s experience teaching and working with young kids, she is full of gentle encouragement and lets her students take ownership of their lessons and learning.
In her free time, Lydia enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two cats.
